Dorrie Handley

Dorrie Handley has worked at CMAH from July, 2000 to Feb, 2005, and again from Aug, 2007 to the present. In her previous careers, she was involved in advertising and graphic design, and then in technical training, documentation, and executive management in the telecommunications industry.

She enjoys her time at the clinic working with all the cats and dogs, since she is used to the chaos of multiple pets at home. The current members of her pack are Michael, the husband, Lacey, Maxie, and Lily, the White German Shepherd Dogs, Gypsy, the black and tan German Shepherd Dog, and Petey, the mix. They all report directly to the 2 cats, Panda and “Bad” Andy.

In her spare time, she is involved in dance aerobics, weight training, and yoga. Her dogs especially find the yoga practice at home to be very entertaining.

Sonia Alvarez

Sonia has lived in Texas since 1984. She has visited many states and countries and has always found her way back to Texas. She attended Texas A&M University and graduated with a bachelors degree in wildlife and fisheries sciences. Some day she would like to continue her education and explore the animal behavior profession.

In her spare time she treasures spending time with her family, friends, and critters. Her five rabbits, hamster, and dog all keep her busy and content. She finds peace and happiness in the simplest of things like watching her bunnies groom themselves and her hamster run around in her city.

She enjoys traveling and experiencing nature, wildlife, new cultures, and visiting new coutnries. Her passion is to help every animal, domestic or wild. She welcomes the advantage of having the position to communicate with pet owners and help them understand the importance of keeping their pet healthy and creating a lasting bond with their pet.
