We often have pets that are looking for a loving home.

Max_Sqooshy_21-179x300

Meet Squooshy! He is a 6 year old dometic short hair cat. He is the sweetest, most affectionate, playful cat.  He will cuddle up to you and purr if you look or speak to him.  He has the softest meow (you’ll only see his lips move) and he is so very soft and squooshy, which is where he gets his name from! He loves to play with his toy mouse and dynamite cat toy. This little guy makes you realize why adopting a cat is such a gift. Please contact Nancy at 972-963-1616 if you can help this little guy!

Penny is a female black and tan cocker spaniel, approximately five years of age. She is house- and crate-trained. Penny is good with other dogs and children, but as she is not around cats we do not know how she is with them. She appears to be socialized and has no no preference for men or women – she is a great companion and loves to be petted. Penny doesn’t seem to care for toys, but she does like to chew on pig ears. She loves walks and her foster parent is working on her leash training. She is normally active but she does not annoy the two senior citizen cocker spaniels she currently lives with. Penny sleeps in her bed next to her foster parent’s bed and has no problem with the fact that the two cocker spaniels she lives with sleep in the “big bed” while she doesn’t.

Penny currently has an extensive ear infection, but we had her ears cultured and treated. She will be on antibiotics for approximately 90 days total to kill the infection. Cocker spaniels are prone to ear problems if their ears are not taken care of. Please contact DFW Cocker Spaniel Rescue if you are interested in Penny. We would be very happy to arrange a meeting.

North Texas Westie Rescue Adoptions:

max-300x225

I came to Westie Rescue named Jeffe, but I really didn’t respond to the name so my foster family calls me Max.  I am a 5 yr old neutered, bigger than average Westie (approximately 28 lbs) but I am very gentle and extremely loving! I am looking for a family who will love me for the remaining years of my life. I need a family who can spend just a little more time with me on a daily basis because I have two health issues which require a little extra TLC. I need eye drops twice a day and 1 pill daily as I have chronic dry eye and Cushings which is currently under control with my meds.

I really love people but I am very devoted to my foster mom and follow her everywhere (and I mean everywhere). We go on walks and I am very well behaved as I do not chase the squirrels or bunnies. How many Westies can say that?! If you would like to learn more about me, please call the Westie volunteers and lets arrange a sit down to get acquainted! Until then, I’ll be hanging with my Westie sisters around the pool.

If you are interseted in Max, please contact North Texas Westie Rescue.
