We offer a unique one-on-one grooming service for both cats and dogs. Our groomers can perform specific breed grooms and all grooms include nail trim, ear cleaning, bath (medicated if needed), conditioning, and hand drying. 

Connie  grew up in a small Pennsylvania town and has had all kinds of animals, from chipmunks to horses. After many years in the restaurant and hotel industry she decided to do what she really loves.

Heather  first started working in the veterinary field right after high school and has been hooked ever since. She joined the Custer McDermott staff in the Fall 2004 as a part time veterinary technician. She works part time because she is also working her way through college with a goal of going to veterinary school.

Heather has been active in the animal world since the tender age of 13 when she was a member of the local Boxer club showing her own Boxers in conformation and obedience. She has since spent her spare time
training “hard to adopt” dogs, specializing in building the confidence of abused animals to help them reach their full potential and find new homes. She also trains and competes in many performance venues
including obedience, agility, and tracking. Her current pets include a Shih Tzu, Howie, and a rehabilitated American Pit Bull Terrier, Atlas, both
with titles in obedience and agility.

Heather looks forward to every day at Custer McDermott Animal Hospital where she enjoys treating every patient with the same love and care she gives her own.
